- Description of a wedding of the niece of the speaker (the same person as in adat_minang_hair), and of the celebration the third day after the wedding. The linguist had asked the speaker to describe the wedding in detail, which had taken place a few days before the recording. The pictures and videos show the events at the third day after the wedding on two occasions. (IMG_1031-1077 are from the event described in this recording. IMG_1780-1790 are from the third day event of the couple who's wedding is described in adat_welawela_fajaria.) A dog named Dolok chased a cassowary into the sea from Sebakor Bay/Tanahmerah (mainland visible from Karas). They turned into stone by shaking their bodies just south of the big Karas island. That is why Pulau Kasuari and Pulau Anjing have different color soil than Karas: the soil was brought from Sebakor/Tanah Mera. This is a taboo place for the Buruwai. Other place names mentioned: Uninsinei, Maniem, Burewun. A tale told by Hapsa Yarkuran, assisted by her mother Bini Rumatiga.
