Description
A tale about how Pulau Kasuari (Cassowary Island, Lempuang Emun) and Pulau Anjing (Dog Island, Lempuang Tumun) came into existence. A dog named Dolok chased a cassowary into the sea from Sebakor Bay/Tanahmerah (mainland visible from Karas). They turned into stone by shaking their bodies just south of the big Karas island. That is why Pulau Kasuari and Pulau Anjing have different color soil than Karas: the soil was brought from Sebakor/Tanah Mera. This is a taboo place for the Buruwai. Other place names mentioned: Uninsinei, Maniem, Burewun. A tale told by Hapsa Yarkuran, assisted by her mother Bini Rumatiga. Told "for the camera", without any audience., A tale about how Pulau Kasuari (Cassowary Island, Lempuang Emun) and Pulau Anjing (Dog Island, Lempuang Tumun) came into existence.
